State of the Air
The State of the Air Report (SOTA), is an annual report conducted by the American Lung Association’s National Office. SOTA serves as a report card which grades the air quality in counties across the U.S. Quality is measured in grades “A” through “F” and tells how clean or dirty the air is for the three most widespread outdoor air pollutants – ozone or smog; 24-hour particle pollution; and year-round particle pollution levels.
