Camp Happy Lungs

Camp has now ended for the summer. We are looking forward to seeing you next year! This exciting and unique camp is for children ages 7-11 with asthma who are unable to attend other summer camps due to their illness. The camp offers traditional camp activities including canoeing, archery, swimming and more.

In Good Hands

Trained camp counselors keep an eye on each camper 24 hours per day. Medical staff includes physicians, respiratory therapist and nurses who are present to monitor activities and administer medications.

Special precautions are taken to minimize asthma flare-ups. Participants sleep and eat in air conditioned facilities, which help reduce allergic reactions. Medical personnel are on site at all times to ensure a safe, enjoyable camping experience.

It is located at the Patuxent 4-H campground in upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Camp is Free to all Participants

No child or family is charged to attend camp. Sponsorships and contributions to the American Lung Association are welcome.
