About ALADC
Our Mission
The mission of the American Lung Association of the District of Columbia (ALADC) is to prevent lung disease and promote lung health in the District of Columbia through advocacy, research and public, patient and professional education. While most ALADC programs focus on asthma and tobacco control, we also provide expertise in other program areas, including air pollution, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), tuberculosis and sarcoidosis. To find additional information about specific lung diseases, visit the American Lung Association (lungusa.org) website. ALADC also hosts the DC Tobacco Coalition
